At his headquarters near Dennewitz, where a great battle currently rages, Lt Col Schmidgall receives an important message from a courier, who has traveled the length of eastern Europa, all the way from St. Stephen's (chapel) at Tillerovia (NRC Tournament Scn).

The officer of Tirailleur's wonders what could be in the missive, for he knows that in that far away town there is another battle brewing. Did the courier bring good news or bad?

His fingers quickly tear open the seal, and drawing out the parchment within, his eyes read rapidly the written words.

A smile breaks upon his face as he repeats what he read aloud.

"Lt Col Schmidgall, salute!
I am writing this from the HQ at St Stephen's, in the distant lands of the Tatars, to inform you that Lt Col Bill Reaves, 1st Div, V Corps, has declared his intention to join our provisional Corps in an official capacity.

Apparently he is so enjoying hunting Hanoverians with Lt Col Kling, his partner in this engagement, that he is looking forward to future campaigns with our command."

Welcome to the Tirailleurs et Dragons! Bill! :D

Hunting Hanoverians...gasp! :shock: :shock: :shock:

What a morbid pasttime. Sounds like he should fit right in with the Sharpshooting Serpents. :wink: :wink: :wink:

Of course it could be worse; the Hanoverians could be hunting him. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Yes, I do seem to recall the name Reaves. A fine officer, one of my favorites in fact. My sincere congratulations to all parties involved as I think this is a good deal all around. {Salute!}

Not to worry LTC Kling, all senior British officers are equipped with umbrellas and orderlies to deal with such things. :shock:
