I get it. The French army is vastly superior in all ways (as it should be). If someone wishes to negotiate LMR on/off or rout limiting on, that's fine. The larger question is, will anyone dare take the field, or does the light cavalry truly own the field. As if our egos needed any more inflating.

Variant 3 has I corps fixed for the French at the outset with a low % of release, and a chance for the Prussian IV Korps to join in. The allies have the numbers and the objectives, while the French have to reach 1000 points to eke out even a minor victory. Properly handled, the Prussian army alone can give the French fits.

I am pleased to announce that Tsar Alexander has taken a personal interest in your challenge and has given permission for the immediate formation of an all-cavalry team to represent Russia in Corps/Divisional multi-player challenges. While there was no shortage of officers volunteering for this elite unit, the Tsar decided to entrust this command to the following three officers: Polkovnik (Colonel) Bill Cann of the new Russia Dragoons, Major Al Amos of the Little Russia Cuirassiers and Podporuchik (Lieutenant) Jeff Kulp of the Kharkov Dragoons.
As such, we would be honoured to meet your French Light Cavalry team of the field of battle. However, since there are not any Russian troops present in Belgium, we request that you meet us on the field of your Emperor’s most famous battle, Austerlitz. Specifically, we propose that the scenario would be #23A.HTH_Four Monarchs. We further suggest that the battle be fought under the MOE IV rules, including Embedded Melee and that all the Optional Rules be turned ON, except; Manual Defensive Fire, Partial Retreats and Multiple Infantry Melees.

Polkovnik Cann, the light cavalry is flattered to have aroused such a personal interest from the Tsar. At least someone dares stand up to us; not on the fields of Ligny and QB, but at least someone is willing to make a stand. I will confer with my compatriots in regards to your proposed engagement at Austerlitz.

I salute the courage of our Russian foes.

And, I also take the opportunity to thumb my nose in the general direction of the Anglo-Allied and Prussian wussies.
