Monsieur let me entertain you. You see where am from they call me a fancy ,that is a Mulatto who is loved by all woman no matter the color. In my case I appeal to owners of property. Not large in body but appealing to the eye on a hot summer night in the bayous of the South. Unknown to you wild men of the down under who had no woman . The word popinjay is a ole southern term for a dandy or a foppish person. Now if you should ever come to New Orleans or east Texas you would learn much of the terms that many would love. For we are the real 18th century people and we who are from the Crescent city will never change.

Well very good Colonel Dumas I had a good laugh from that. Indeed my persona in this tavern is described sometimes by the allieds as a Peacock and now a dandy as well, I shall discard the foppish part though  . Both the former seem to fit nicely with my rather colourful uniform.

Good to here you were 'born on a bayou' booooorrrrrrrn on a Bayyyyyyyyou...

BTW I am blessed with a beautiful Italian wife so down under ladies are not all bad.

Salute!
The Dandy Peacock and Grand Duck of Austerlitz

Ah, hunted now am I? Well, as an old Jager Commander, I can certainly respect that. I do believe I will accept your offer to join you by the fire for a brief time, Marechal Bardon. I am certain that the background illumination will prove an advantage for any French assassins who may be lurking about but, in my experience, your marksmen couldn't shoot a duck in the head if they were standing on his foot!

And speaking of feathered creatures, is General Knox indeed a duck himself? I was under the distinct impression that he was a Peacock, and certainly the Dandy to which Colonel Dumas refers. Perhaps he meant Duke. Or it could also be a case of the errant French spelling of words that transforms a noble ruler into a pond skimming fowl (Duke to Duck) or a mounted warrior into a mythical, reptilian beast (Dragoon to Dragon). No matter, I suppose, as when we do finally subdue your Corsican Overlord, we shall, as a part of our occupation of your country, educate whatever few Frenchmen remain to properly speak, and spell, the King's English.

Montesori de' Presizeman your highness the Ensiling telechaje, greetings the subject was D&G not the titles of the Ennoblies. Thé Empirer gives titles away like pigeon food. Shell we move on ! Am sure these garcons won them in battle and not born to it like you Ensiling. If the popping- jay wasn't smelling behind the CnC all the temp he would have a Brig ready to do battle but that is always the case of them dandies they are not one for all and all for one  ! They are one for one and all for one  :P
