Ok Andy,

Thanks for the clarification. Though, it would be nice from time to time to hear from the Cabinet about the discussions and on-going issues discussed within these closed doors. Keep your people informed, I guess is what I'm asking.

Gary, at any time you want to know something ask your army CO. Scott will tell you all he's allowed, to. He likes to keep people informed. He also likes his troops to be respectful and polite. (just sayin')

If it's of relevance to the club-wide membership, then yes of course. But without wishing to sound pompous, some issues such as complaints about behaviour, are best dealt with, and remain, behind closed doors.

In this particular case, Clifton made a request to Cabinet. Should individuals, for whatever reasons, be allowed to set up their own armies? it was discussed and rejected. My opinion is that the NWC is about inclusion, not isolationism. It did not have relevance to the wider membership. Clifton chose to widen the discussion in the Tavern. It ended in acrimony and issues became blurred when he raised complaints about the French Army and it's promotion structure, which is an internal LGA matter only.

Hope that clarifies the situation.

Andy--This makes perfect sense and is quite clear.

Al--Thanks for the information. You are correct in saying Scott is definitely a "go-to" guy and I feel privileged to be under his command 8). With that being said, last night, I feel I was pounced on and attacked by multiple party's, in my opinion, unnecessarily and yes, that brought out my bad side, and I apologize, but just remember there are always two sides to a story.

I enjoy the idea of inclusion within the club vs. isolationism--Much appreciated Andy!

To all, humility is a virtue.

To admit you were wrong is manly. When you apologize and you follow it with a comma and "but", then you've replaced the apology with an excuse. Speak only for yourselves, allow others to descern the "other side of the story."

Let an argument go, don't hang on to it. You only cast yourself in a poor lite amongst the group by clinging to it and trying to win it. Pyrrhic victories cost freindships, and deter others from wanting to play a game with you, or associate with you.

As my Mother-in-Law always says, "choose your battles wisely."

Al--I will choose my battles wisely. As I initially only intended to say what I thought (Which I thought was harmless enough?) The consensus has been made rather clearly. I feel I must cease from posting my opinion or really anything in these forums furthermore. Regards.

I believe this thread is a good example why many senior members choose not to post in the tavern.

I know many of them read the posts but there has been many examples over the years of a lack of civility and just plain rudeness. People tire of it after a while and won't post.

We all need to try and not take it to seriously, me included.

Now Andy good to see you taking a drink here, Helga a round for the man with the most vp's by miles in our club.
A man of some honour.

My dear General Knox, I would have to disagree with you slightly in your reference to Generaal Moss' character. I would say that he is a man of very Great honor!

A toast to my noble mentor who, by his tireless efforts and limitless patience, suceeded in molding this wretched recruit into a Coalition officer that managed to somehow keep from getting killed in his initial battles. :P :P :P

Well, at least until I crossed swords with you!

In my humble opinion, Andy is one of this clubs very greatest assets, who neither brags of his unparalleled accomplishments, nor draws attention to himself in any overt manner. That's where I come in...

To Generaal Moss, one of the finest warriors that I have ever had the pleasure to know.

Well the week end is over and we had a great tongue wagging in the Tavern! I hope my views were understandable and since this is an open place to pass on ones views to others. Ney or oui don't brother me. The views of others only shows what they think of each other if some were not bon and others were that's life. I hope that all that voice their concerns were heard. Well till next time when the weekend voices will get what's on their minds off.
