Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

The winner for each match was determined at the stated deadline of November 21st as outlined in the tournament rules. All players were allowed to complete the games past this point if they so desired, but the winners for tournament purposes were determined by the status of the game at the deadline. This procedure will be the same for every match in the tournament.

OK, fellows, all fifteen games in the MP Division are now underway, the ten games of Round 2 for the SP Division have been started, and all twenty-five games have been registered in our DoR System. Whew! Man, am I glad that is over with!

For those of you who have not yet done so, I need you to visit the DoR System and enter an End Game Result for your Round 1, SP Division matches that have been completed. I will need for your opponent to confirm the End Result as well. Let's get all of these cleared out of the DoR System this week so that we don't run them into the twenty-five new games that I just entered in the system.

Just a reminder that the deadline for the completion of the SP Round 2 games was yesterday. I only have two End Game Results at present. I need the rest so that we can move on to Round 3.

I will allow some additional time for the players in the Guards Category if requested as they will only require four total rounds to determine a winner as opposed to the five rounds that are required for the Junior Officer and General Membership Categories. We do need to keep the Junior Officer and General Membership Categories on track though, so please send me let me know your End Game Results for these matches.

The Guards Officer's Category is not yet resolved as they are continuing play. I have granted them some additional time to conclude their Round 2 battles, as they will only require 4 Rounds to determine an overall winner as opposed to the 5 Rounds required to resolve the Junior Officer and General Membership Categories.

I will get Round 3 of the SP Division started sometime next week, once David and I finalize the next scenario design. Hopefully, your games thus far have been fun and entertaining, and you are making new friends through this tournament that we are proud to host for you. It is a lot of work for us, but if you fellows are having fun, it is worth our efforts. Now, if you fellows are not actually enjoying yourselves, well, honestly that could be a problem.

Looks like France and Russia will go head to head for the Guard Officer's Tournament Medal this year. Please join me in congratulating two of the very finest warriors in our club!

David was finally able to deliver the preliminary scenario design for the Round 3 contest to me a couple of days ago. I have not had a chance to look at it yet, as my wife has been in the hospital undergoing surgery. I was able to bring her home this afternoon, so I will see what I can do about finalizing the scenario so you fellows still left standing can get back to killing each other.

We seem to have lost Gary Whalen.

We sent off our last turn on 1/12/13 and have been in contact with Thomas Whitfield. Neither of us have heard from Gary since before 1/12.

Several emails have been sent out, with no response.

I will suggest to Thomas that he continue to play the game, until contact with Gary can be re-established.

Gentlemen Officers of the SON Tournament:

Just a reminder that the deadline for the Round 3 matches of the SP Division has now passed. For those of you who have still not done so, please send me your End Game Results so that we can congratulate our winners and get the final SP Round of play underway.

Also a reminder that the MP Division play is scheduled to end in another sixe weeks. I would encourage you to progress these games if you are not already doing so, although I must admit that I have delayed my own team for a week and a half now.

Yeah, I really have to get my part of the turn done today.
