Round 3 of the SP Division of the Tournament has been completed. Congratulations to our winners!

Junior Officer's Category

Tim Cavallin
Giovanni Boffi

General Membership Category

Art Ozols
Cezary Pluskwa

Guard Officer's Category

Jeff Bardon

I have sent out the Start Files for Round 4 of the SP Division, so the final matches for the Junior Officer's and General Membership Categories are now underway. As four of the five matches in Round 3 play were won by French officers, the LGA has managed to sweep the Coaltion aside in all three SP Division Categories. Congratulations to the Officers of France! :P :P :P

Just a reminder that the MP Division is scheduled to conclude at the end of April, so please focus on progressing your MP matches to a conclusion. I do not have a good understanding of where these matches currently stand, but would much prefer to have conclusive results for each battle than any decisions rendered under a Draw. If by the end of April, I see a lot of games that are not progressed to a conclusion, I will likely extend the deadline for this Division. Remember that unless you have progressed these games to 75% of their total turns, I will not perform a tiebreaker in the case of a Drawn result. Based on the game I am playing in this Division, I have a hard time envisioning that this scenario could ever be played to 75% of the total number of turns and not yield a conclusive result. Were my partner and opponents to get to that point, none of us would have a man left with which to contest the field. Also bear in mind that these matches can be played to a definitive conclusion beyond the tournament deadline if the players wish to do so. That is to say that we must end these games at some point for tournament purposes, but that is not a limitation on the fact that you may continue them to a definite conclusion for DoR Registration purposes after the tournament deadline has passed.

Congratulations again to our Round 3, SP Division winners! :D :P

Woohoo! La Grande Armee triumphs again (as it should be, of course).

Vive la France!

Just a reminder to everyone that all matches in the 2012 SON Tournament will end on May 31st. As I previously mentioned, you are free to continue playing these games on your own for DoR Scoring purposes, but the status of your matches will be scored for tournament purposes based on their status at midnight on May 31st.

Hello Mr. Presidente, I have a doubt

What is the status/outcome of the SON match I was involved in?

Mark Pustorvh / Fernando LopezGallo VS Roy Purcell / Paul Oakford

I did upload the Battle End a couple weeks ago.. but no one else confirmed.

General Paul Oakford (rudely I might add) abandoned the game at the very start without apology or explanation.. so we played against the galant and brave General Purcell only

At the time General Purcell agreed to end the battle, The outcome was an Allied Absolute Victory.

Did we end past the deadline? Or was the score valid and Mark and I are still alive in the tourney?

Thanks and regards!

I think you actually mean Mark Oakford, rather than Paul.

My thanks to Roy for continuing alone. There are a few others who have done this as well, and I certainly appreciate each of them.

First, I would say that the MP Division of the tournament consisted of only a single game this year. There is no Round 2 to which you could advance. What we are playing for are 'bragging rights' for one side of our club over the other. The results of all of the MP matches will be tabulated to see which side of our club, i.e. French or Coalition, will receive the Tournament's MP Division medal. Every player on the winning side will receive this medal, regardless of how they fared in their particulate game. The games themselves will, however, be scored according to their outcome for placement on the officer's battle records.

In answer to your question, it sounds like you have won a Major Victory for your battle record, and logged one victory for the Coalition in the tournament calculations.

Roy, please go ahead and confirm the End Game Result in the DoR System. I will get all of the tournament matches straightened out in our DoR System after May 31st. As relating to another of my recent posts, anything you fellows can do to register and confirm your games without my direct assistance would be very greatly appreciated.

Salute!

A semaphore station dispatch!

Warriors of the Katzbach, French and Coalition officers all!

This Friday, May 31st, 2013, the guns will fall silent on these battle maps.

All engagements must be concluded by this date.

Officers should report the results of their fights to Mark Jones (cc Todd Schmidgall), and confirm your results in the DoR as well.

We thank you in advance for your promptness in this matter, so that the results may be tabulated and the victorious army declared.

And we thank you for taking part in this epic struggle!

Regards,

Well, the 2012 Struggle of Nations Tournament has been officially concluded. La Grande Armee officers swept all three categories of the Single Player Division, while the Coalition officers emerged victorious in the Multi-Player Division. I would like to express our great appreciation to all officers who partcipated in this club sanctioned event. We hope you enjoyed your various engagements and look forward to your continued participation in future events.

Although I placed a post of the winners a month ago, and sent the medals to the Army Commanders the same day, I do not find any of the medals having been placed on the respective officer's records....
