His Imperial and Royal Majesty Napoleon I, By the Grace of God and the Constitutions of the Republic, Emperor of the French, King of Italy, Protector of the Confederation of the Rhine hereby confers the title of Marechal of France
upon
General Al Kling,
Chief of Staff of La Grande Armée.

Hereafter General Al Kling shall be known as
Monsieur le Marechal Kling
with all the rights and privileges thereof.

On a personal note. I could not run the LGA with out the tireless efforts and boundless enthusiasm of Monsieur le Marechal Kling. You bring great credit and honor to yourself and to La Grande Armée and it is for this reason that I am waiving the OBD point requirement to give you this honor.

Well Gentlemen,

It looks like drinks are on me, and that is a lot of drinks!!! Hopefully the Hanoverians will not drink me into the poor house and may be they will not sing too much!

Battle On...

Al congrats this is richly deserved. For many years the LGA was a little quite and people like John, Jeff and I talked in Pierre's about how to raise its profile. You have done much to do exactly that and it is now in its full glory. My personal thanks and recognition.

best regards

Hmmm.......I think even we Hanoverians are going to be challenged to render three French Marechals penniless tonight. Well, all I can say (as he rolls up his sleeves) is let's get to it. I'll take the one on the left.

Congratulations, Al. Very well done!

Et tu Al? Congratulations. It seems to be raining French Marechals so we must all endeavor to drink even more heavily. :)

Congratulations Marechal Kling. The Emperor is surely inebriated and handing these pokey sticks out like candy. But, I will gladly drink tonight on your tab.

Regards,

Sir Muddy

Congratulations, Al!

I'll echo what Colin said. LGA is much more visible and vocal and you deserve a good deal of the credit for that.

Cheers!

Yes Jeff I say again its been fantastic having Al work through the records bringing things up to date for everyone!
Hopefully our allied armies which have been like that in the past will soon recapture that glory too.
