Monsieur le Marechal Knox has demonstrated great skill and courage on the field of honor. He has also been a valuable resource for tactics which have benefited all officers of :a Grand Armée. He brings great credit to himself and to La Grande Armée and it is for these reasons that I am waiving the OBD point requirement to give him this great honor.

Congratulations, my friend. That is going to be one very hard trophy for any Coalition officer to claim. Goodness knows that the allure of your sword alone has cost many a good Allied warrior his own weapon. I know, for even now you retain my original blade.

But enough lamenting over past events. We have a great honor to celebrate and the challenge before us today is to see if we can collectively render you penniless.

You know, now that I reflect upon these recent promotions by LGA Command, I am reminded of the time, many actually, when Generaal Bilj offered to promote me to an Ensign. :o

What bothered me even more was how quickly, and enthusiastically, his idea was endorsed by the Anglo-Allied Army's General Staff.

Of course, there was also the incident of the firing squad as well, but we try not to dwell on that one.

Congratulations Marechal Knox on your baton. Well deserved.

Even though I have several of those candy sticks in my trophy room already, I will make a special place for yours.

Send a courier when you are ready.

Regards,

Your Friend,

Sir Muddy

Thanks Scott. Very good pic, I believe this is a good caption :The clever French flanked the hapless Prussians by moving through the impassable swamp

Sir Muddy thank you my friend. Sadly real life is limiting my gaming to 1 game. I will be sure to contact you for another match in the near future though!

Congrats Marechal Knox. I blame you for the profligate use of squares by French officers...
