It is an honor and a joy for me to report that Lieutenant Richard Bradshaw has been promoted to captain because of his achievements in the field of battle.
Soldiers like Richard are very necessary to fight the enemy, his tenacity and strength have earned him this title.
This well deserves three cheers for our colleague:
Hurrah!, hurrah!, hurrah!.
And now to invite a few beers in the tabern.

Thank you for your warm reception into this august group. I had planned to buy the first few rounds but after straying too close to the French tables I notice my coin purse is a tad lighter. So if I may be able to get to my brave steed in the stable I have a few trinkets recently taken off a French supply ship captured by my brother of the Spanish Navy. They should be good for a few rounds of a tasty drink.

I look forward to a storied career, hopefully including at least another victory.
