Gentlemen Officers of the NWC:
Communication is one of the most important aspects of human relations, and one of the hardest goals to truly achieve. As our club is a social organizatition of like-minded gamers scattered throughout the world, it is an even more complex goal for us. I would like to present to you a technology that can help us do this. The best part is, it will be free to you for the entire, first year!
One of our members has set up a site to allow us to actually talk to each other over our computers. This is actual voice communication, just as you would have with a phone. The difference being that it utilizes the internet to facilitate the communication. The member in question has asked to remain anonymous, but he has, from his own pocket, paid for an annual site that will allow up to fifteen of our members to talk to one another at the same time. Various rooms have been set up to facilitate the simultaneous conversations. There is one, large common room that everyone can freely access, several smaller rooms in which more private conversations can be held, and three password protected rooms similar to our Cabinet Forum, Pierre's Tavern, and the Coaltion Arms. The site he is using is called Teamspeak. If any of you are interested in tapping into this new resource, just send me an email and I will respond with the items you need to set this up on your computers. I cannot simply post them here as this is a publically accessed forum, and we do need to restrict the use of this new site to our members.
I have been giving this some thought, and see great potential in this new resource. My specific plans are to gather thirteen Coalition officers together for a panel discussion in which Marechals Knox and Bardon will disclose all of their tactial secrets, and teach us how to repeatedly dismantle LGA forces on our cybernetic battlefields. Of course, I first need to convince these venerable Marechals to participate. A sticky wicket to be sure, but rest assured, I am working on it.
