Mark I was referring to posts in the RT. Not friendship with enemies of France.
Damn them Sir. Damn them.

"Vive L'Empereur" the vast numbers of French in the tavern roared in unison repeating Marechal Knox's words

"Vive L'Empereur"

A rather meek "long live the Duke" was heard somewhere at the sparcely populated allied end of the tavern.

That is a sentiment with which I agree 1000%, and exactly what I hope we will one day achieve! "All Everyone". One club; one heart; one soul; one band of merry, gaming brothers commited to having fun and actively working together as a team for the benefit of all. :D :P

Now that's worth another round of drinks......I'm welling up

Or an active merry band of brothers constantly engaged in trying to shoot one another. But in the nicest most virtual sort of way of course. Take Mark and I. I genuinely like the gent, poor misguided soul that he is in choosing to link up with perfidious Albion and its puppet state, but each time we meet, very few of our poor virtual soldiers seem to live to tell the tale.

Anyway, Cheers to Marechal Kling!

The feeling is mutual, Jeff. You are a great credit to your uniform and our club. I think we were both fortunate that our masters did not court martial us for the casualties incurred during our last engagement.

It is very good to have you back. I was about to send a scouting party out to look for you. Hanoverian Jagers of course. :D :P

Ja, ja, Herr Mareschal Kling ist ein gute Frenchie  :D

He ist always here, :D aber does not like my singing :(

Zo, I shall sing ein Lied fur alle Soldaten  :D

von denen keiner mir zuleid was tat.

Ihr Brüder all, ob Deutsche, ob Franzosen,

Und if you don't Sprechen Deutsch....

Lyrics - I´m Soldier but I don´t like it...

I am a soldier but I don't like being one,
when I became one they didn't ask me.
They dragged me away into the casern
where I was held captive and hunted like an animal.
I had to leave my home, my sweetheart´s heart
and my friends circle.
Thinking about it I feel the wistfulness´ pain
feel in my chest the wrath´s/rage´s fervency so hot.

I am a soldier but only against my will.
I don't love the blue King´s tunic/uniform.
I don't love this bloody warfare.
A stick would suffice to defend myself.
Oh tell me, what do you need soldiers for?
All peoples only love ease and peace.
Just out of imperiousness and to harm the folk,
You let tread down, alas, the golden lea/nature.

I'm a soldier, have to march day and night,
instead of holding down a job I have to keep watch.
Instead of being free I have to salute
and see the arrogance of impertinent busters.
And if it goes to war I have to murder brothers,
who have never harmed me.
Therefor as a cripple I may wear decorations and medals
and starving I shout then: 'I was soldier'!

You brethren all, whether Germans or French,
whether Hungarians, Danes or from the Netherlands,
whether green or red or blue or white the trousers,
instead of lead shot shake the brotherly hand!
Up, let's march back to our homeland(s),
and free our folk(s)/nations from the tryants!
Because only tyrants have to wage wars.
Soldier of freedom, I want to be gladly. :)

May our differences be settled on electronic battlefields and our meeting be of good drink, good food and good company, Thank you Al. :D :D

"Ach, ja! I will drink to that. To my brothers in arms, no matter the color of your coats," said the Hanoverian Major General as he downed another shot of Jagermeister. :o  :?

"But you are a Hell of a lot safer if you are wearing red," he said as he grinned at the Jager officer seated next to him. :o

"Present company excepted of course."
