Glad to have you in the Grande Armee, John and Christian.

Pay as little attention to the Hanoverians as you can. They tend to show up, get drunk on jagermeister and then get all delusional about their martial prowess. Helga is kind enough to indulge them, and their British paymasters continue to provide liquor subsidies.

But aside from that, best to either shoot them or run them down and move on to a more challenging foe, like Josephine the cat.

Well, well, it is good to see the fires of confidence burning so brightly in the bellies of the French youth.

So, Lt. Hecht, calmly I stand on the field of Quatre Bras, awaiting your arrival and the 'crushing' that ensues, for I am rather noted as being fully qualified as an enemy of the Corsican Twirp that you call an Emperor. It was on this very field that I, as a young Ensign, defeated my first French General of the Tyrant's Imperial Guard. Just consider this your opportunity to return the favor.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Judging from the harsh nature of the "tavern skirmishing," I can imagine just how vicious the battles will get. That being the case, I'd better get back to the Ecole Militaire, study and train harder to perpare myself.
