Nah, it's all just roleplaying. The games are actually fun. Don't be fooled. Rank is not a real measure of ability on the battlefield. It really is just more of an indicator of tenure rather than skill. Battle records are a better indicator of skill, but even they are only relative to who you actually play.

You have the reliable word of the great Marechal who has earned his position to command the Emperor's Imperial Guard: Hanoverians are less dangerous than domesticated house cats. The question is whether or not you believe him.

BTW, Jeff and I are friends. He does hold my absolute respect. He is a truly great player and a very fine gentleman. There are others like him here as well. You are in the company of a fine bunch of fellows.

Well, well, Major General Jones I'm afraid that the field of Quatre Bras has to wait a while for me as the current situation nails me to the area between Elbe and Oder(I own only the Leipzig Campaign, besides that I still have to do my advanced training) but I'm sure we will meet in battle sooner or later.

Perhaps we shall, Christian. I actually own every HPS and JTS title, although there are a few I have not reinstalled since ny last computer upgrade. By all means, complete your training. I would normally never challenge the new recuits. I only did so recently to restore some honor to my 'berated' Hanoverian officers. When you feel you are ready, look me up at my favorite table here in the Rhine Tavern. I am generally very easy to find.
