Gentlemen,

It gives me great pleasure to announce that COL Thomas Moore has accepted the post of brigade commander of the 1st Brigade of the Cavalry Division of IV Corps and has been promoted to general de brigade. Please join me in congratulating him on this happy occasion; I am sure that he will continue to be an asset to the IV Corps and la Grande Armée as we defend the empire against the Allied rabble.
