By a majority vote of the Cabinet (3:1), Marco Bijl was not reinstated as the Coalition CinC. This has no effect on his current standing as the Anglo-Allied Army Commander. The Cabinet post of Coalition CinC is currently vacant. Under our current Club Rules, and in accordance with the precedent set by the seated Cabinet members in July 2011, the Cabinet has the authority to appoint a new Coalition CinC to serve in this post until the proposed Club Rules have been adopted by the membership, and the Coalition officers elect a new Coalition CinC by their majority vote.
How we proceed from this point will be determined by the outcome of the current vote for the adoption of the proposed club rules, and any special election that may follow by the will of the membership to elect all leaders that had previously been appointed to their posts. As we are unsure at the present time of the outcome of the Club Rules vote, the Cabinet is currently discussing whether or not we wish to appoint a replacement for the Coalition CinC, such replacement remaining in effect until the proposed Club Rules are adopted, and a vote of the Coalition officers concluded.
As this post is informational in nature, I am locking it to prevent its message from being lost in a flurry of potential responses. I will update this thread when the Cabinet members conclude their current discussion.
