Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

I was trying to see if my version of NIR was up to date.

My game says 2.01

When i went to matrix, i can only find an update to version 1.01

What gives?

|My BG Matrix also says 2.01.

When I purchased it I went to Matrix web site and downloaded anything available without checking and am still showing 2.01 ???

Someone who knows what they are talking about should be along soon though

For Matrix Nappy series:
6/3/2008 V1.01 Download causes the GAME Version to go to V2.01 (From within game, HELP/ABOUT)

For MATRIX ACW Series:
1/23/2008 V1.01 installed first, then 5/14/2008 v1.02 causes the IN GAME version to be V2.01.

So, both Matrix games, Napoleon and ACW end up with IN GAME versions of v2.01.

It is confusing.

One thing I found with the updates once I had downloaded them was my game wouldn't allow me to finish a battle so I deleted the game and then reloaded without the updates and everything works great. Dunno if I was doing anything wrong which I could have been.

Without the updates installed, your version is not compatible with anyone that had installed the updates.

That reminds me - I had that problem when I first installed it.

The cure was to uninstall it and then when I re installed it I did not accept the default folder, but the following.

C:/Matrix Games/Napoleon

C:/Matrix Games/ACW

I have no idea why this should make a difference.

This is just one example of why we need a club like this where there is interaction between members rather than a simple "battle challenge site"; where from the beginning there is your trainer and a whole host of commanding officers whose help and guidance you can access.
