Salute!

L'Chevalier strides into the common room divided as usual into the various factions of these Napoleonic Wars Continuum: a veritable menagerie of bird, wolf, a lion (!), and the ghost of a ratte, presided over by der Jager in one corner; a knot of Russian Grenadiers huddled over a table deep in thought on strategy and tactics of future battle maps; a picquet of Anglo-Allied chaps steeped in their cups (or waving deadly forks about in the air)... and of course, the civilized quorum, where the refined officers of L'Empereur's eagles enjoy repast of wine, bread and cheese.

Reaching his favored table where sits the scribe busy writing in his omnipresent journals and drinking whiskey from a tumbler, L'Chevalier catches the cat Josephine who fairly leaps upon him, purring and rubbing her head against his shoulder.

Holding her tightly in one arm and smiling, he places his other hand upon the shoulder of the fellow who comes to stand beside him.

"Gentlemen, and Coalition ruffians, won't you join me in welcoming the newest member of the Reserve Cavalerie Corps , Lieutenant Nicolas Denevi, recently assigned to the 2nd Cuirassier Regt, 2nd Brigade, 1st Grosse Cavalerie Division.

"Our brave Lieutenant has journeyed all the way from the Argentine to answer the summons to raise high the eagle standard of L'Empereur!

"And if nothing else does... I know that these words will certainly grab your warranted attention - the drinks are on the Lieutenant - and spare him not a drop in your imbibing, as I want him all the poorer in purse so that he will be all the more eager to seek recompense upon the battle maps against the lot of you!"

Regards,

"Drinks are on him", says a red coated General of the King's Dragoon Guards, "well I like this young Frenchman already!" :P :P :P

"It is understandable that you stand in awe when the King's troops parade by your outposts, but do try your best not to wet yourself when you actually have to engage them in combat."

Welcome to the NWC, Lieutenant Denevi!

Welcome Sir, you have picked the better side with which to fight and I am most certain you will get an opponent very soon from one of the Coalition officers.
