Gentlemen Officers of The NWC:

Please join me in a toast tonight to celebrate the promotion of Stuart Wilson (Brunswick Brigade) to Lieutenant and Phillipe Divine (Hanover Brigade) to 2nd Lieutenant!

We will, of course, be paying with captured French coin as is our usual habit, since it does seem so very easy for our brave, German warriors to obtain.

I don't know about all of that stuff the Maj Gen mumbled concerning ease of obtaining coin -

Nonetheless, I congratulate these officers on their promotions!

And no matter the mint of coin, as someone else is paying the tab (as I have paid a lot out myself it seems of late...) I will gladly partake with you in this celebration!

The next two rounds are on me, with the caveat that Helga has already been informed that I will not pay for anyone who orders Jaegermeister, because it tastes worse than mouthwash.

The French make several excellent fruit-based eaux de vie: if you aren't familiar with them I'm sure there are a few officers from the other camp who would be happy to introduce you (just don't ask about their sisters).
