Thank you Général Derwinski!

I tried to register one of our COG games and it seems to be working as far as I can select the appropriate scenario.

However, I cannot add two players (out of the 5 players playing that game who decided to join NWC) :
Colin Riley and Peter Ewer of the Anglo-Allied Army...Who should be directly informed of this?

Mes respects.

They may not have been set up with in the DoR. Contact their CinC

Stephane, it looks like your problem was resolved as you confirmed a game in the DoR System about six hours after your post here.

Are you still having issues?

I hope that is the correct spot for my question if not please move my post.

I remember when I enlisted that I had to add the info on what games I possessed.
Now I checked thru the DOR system and as far as I can see that info isn't used anywhere, personally I think it might be useful to be able to see what games a members possesses, it could help pick out members and get into contact with them about a fight/campaign/multiplayer etc., also the info on how strong each game is represented throughout the membership could be useful in regards to planing tournaments or other club wide actions.
So could that info be added to the DOR system?

The information on the games was specifically requested so that it could be used in planning tournaments. As it is only gathered when a member registers, or during a Clubwide Muster, of which there has only ever been one conducted, the information would almost certainly always be out of date. I honestly cannot see where it is any more helpful in finding opponents than a post in the Opponent Finder Forum. Just because someone owns a game, it does not mean that they currently have time to engage in playing them. In this regard, I think the Opponent Finder Forum and the help of fellow officers are the best ways to secure opponents. In my four years in this club, I have never once had a problem finding an opponent for a game.

My thought is that your suggestion will generally just create another item that cannot be reasonably kept up to date without a lot of administrative effort, and I think its effectiveness will be questionable at best. Just my opinion as one of the administrators of our club.

What method would you suggest to ensure that such a database could be kept current on a monthly basis? What level of personal effort are you willing to commit to this endeavour should it become a reality?

I think that something that could be more useful is that we all have access to the database of all scenarios that have been played with the records of games won and lost.

the DOR in the acwgc updates automaticly. you can see all your obd points and games and can look up anybody else in the club game history and it has filters for sorting etc. by far the gold standard of DOR's.

But in Dominik's defense, it his is personal server space we are using. Also there exists reports that would allow for a lot more information to be shared, but are only accessible to a handful of people....

Dominik

I would like to offer you a very large personal "Thank You".
The dedication of both time and resources on an unpaid basis is to your credit.

I also apologies for my ignorance in not being aware of such a valuable resource, hopefully this thread will rectify this lack of knowledge for other Officers of a similar ilk.
