Salute!

Scott L wrote: The ACWGC DoR had a prompt in which members click to accept their promotions and then their chain of command is informed that they have been promoted, which is kind of a nice function as well.

That sounds like a very useful function indeed.

Scott also wrote: would you publish articles for the Newsletter related to your position & tasks?

I'd strongly consider that as a way to keep the membership informed of the PRO work, as it would be paired nicely alongside the otherwise surely dry Cabinet Minutes.

Regards,

Not quite yet Christian :)

I would urge everyone to exercize their democratic right to vote.

We have two excellent candidates who are standing. Mark is new blood and enthusiastic; Scott has kindly offered to render him assistance in his new role if elected. Todd is not quite so new and has established experience. Being the previous incumbent of the job I know what is required.

I had not intended to endorse either candidate. However my opposite number in the LGA has seen fit to give an early personal endorsement to Mark, as is his democratic right. I have spent the week looking at all the postings from both candidates and their answers to some very searching questions at times. The quality of both is high. I've decided now that the deadline for closure of these threads will soon pass to finally endorse Todd. This is a personal opinion only and should in no way be taken by some to be prejudicial to the membership as a whole. All I ask is that everyone takes a few seconds to think about what has been written and to cast their vote. The more votes cast the less the case for accusations of favouritism and factions.

Best wishes to both

Gentlemen

Having read Andy’s latest post on the subject in hand I hesitated to contribute as I believe it is as “good as it can get”.

However as is my way I find it difficult to be silent

Read in full the comments of each candidate and decide who will best benefit the whole club.

While both candidates have shown to be assets to the club I am officially stating my support and belief that Todd Schmidgall would be the best person for the Public Relations position. Todd is and has been a driving force in our efforts to expand team battles, training new members, helping others, etc.. I will be casting my vote for Todd.

Salute!

As the campaign period of this election draws to a close, both Mark Hornsby and myself have made our cases to you.

I just want to take this opportunity to extend my regards to Mark on what I feel was a positive campaign waged by the two of us.

And to sincerely encourage each member of the NWC to exercise the privilege of being able to vote.

Thank you one and all.

Gentlemen Officers of the NWC:

Thank you for participating in the Campaign Threads for this election. I am locking these threads now as the stated deadline for campaigning has been reached. I will send the Voting Instructions to each of you, along with a Voting Form. There will be two emails sent one after another. I look forward to your active participation in this important election and wish the very best of luck to both candidates.
