Yes, Juana Galan, who had the nickname "the Galana" was just one of the women who fought against the French invader, but there were many more, Ines Maria Bellido " the water carrier of Bailen", Catalina Martin Lopez, the Countess of Bureta, Agustina of Aragon, who defended Zaragoza, Martina "La Vizcaina", etc ...

Also actively participating in battles such as Catalina Martin Lopez in battle of Valverde de Leganes where he was awarded the degree of ensign of cavalry or cases of Agustina of Aragon and Martina "La Vizcaina" who participated in the Battle of Victoria.
