Congratulations Cliff, you have the Prize :D

Its the 11th Light Dragoons, hence "Legs Eleven" :!:

"The regiment's nickname, the Cherry Pickers, came from an incident during the Peninsular War, in which the 11th Light Dragoons were attacked while raiding an orchard at San Martin de Trebejo in Spain. When the regiment became the 11th (Prince Albert's Own) Hussars in 1840, its new uniform by coincidence included "cherry" (i.e. crimson) coloured trousers, unique among British regiments"

Good job Cliff, I was stuck on the 'Legs" being infantry..........

Not many people would have gotten that right one ! Now what about the Skins they fought here in the USA also! Called the Black Skins :lol: :lol:

Are you referring to the unit that was formed from an Ethiopian Regiment which was also known by the name of the "Black Brigade". These were elite commandos who were small in number but very greatly feared.
