Salute!

As commander of the Reserve Cavalerie Corps I am pleased to announce that John Sheffield has earned promotion to the rank of Capitaine. 8)

The semaphore station reports that the Capitaine earned his field promotion upon the terrible battle map of Eylau. :shock:

Won't you join me in toasting our valiant officer for his heroic deeds! :)

Hmmm...yes, that is entirely possible, Capitaine Sheffield. I well remember the time I was so drunk that I rode into the middle of the French encampment, and was summarily obliged to fight my way back out. :) :D :P

And then there was the time that I awoke wearing a French cuirass and riding in the middle of the Chassuers a Cheval of Napoleon's Imperial Guard.... :shock: :shock: :shock:
