My favourites from the period are all not surprisingly French

The guides as per my signature below
The Grenadier a Cheval and the Polish old guard lancers

Murat for me was the greatest cavalry leader of the period but at a lesser level :
Lasalle
d'Hautpoul
Lefebvre Des and Nansouty are all favourites

Begrudging respect to:

The Russian Chevalier guard and heavies generally
and I suppose the life and royal horse guard for there limited appearance

With out any doubt my greatest cav hero is Thomas A Dumas 1790's to 1800 and the guard killers the Austrian Bussy Jager zu Pferd

Remarkable Cav Commander Vla to cross a sea on horse back in the Swedish Wars that why we missing out on some good 1807 battles.
