Gentlemen

The usual question do all parties need to apply the patch :scottishduh:

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the heads up on the update.

To answer your question: yes, all the players in a game need to have the same update version of the game.

Regards,

Thanks Todd

That's a bit of a bugger, I have three or four Leipzig's on the go both here and at The Blitz including extended Mutli-player :hmmm:

I would point out that it can sometimes be prudent to not immediately use an update - as there can sometimes be issues that need to be resolved... :displeased:

Unless of course you are happy to be the guinea pig... :frenchwink1:

At the very least, if you have retained the former update in your system, keep it so that should it be necessary, you can reinstall that one should problems be encountered.

Regards,

I always delay the application of an update, as there are inevitably bugs to be worked out. I am curious as to why Leizig has been updated, so I may have to check out the Read Me file.

I know of at least two scenario errors that I and Christian Rizo uncovered, involving lack of Victory Level conditions in a Campaign branch, and added troop strengths to an alternative Bonus scenario.

I was told by Rich (bless that hardworking man!) that the latter had been resolved for an upcoming update, and I hope the same is true for the Campaign branch scenarios.

I should add, that issues such as what I cite above are not necessarily reasons to not use an update, as these were obscure details among the hundred plus scenario files.

One should though be cautious at first to learn through the application by others () of whether there might be more far reaching issues that can at times arise.

I would also like to thank the staff of HPS/JTS for all of their hard work in creating these games, and the ceaseless efforts they undertake to resolve issues that we - their 'unofficial play-testers' discover and let them know about.

I have always found the staff at these companies to be very responsive to queries made to them.

Regards,
