That he still updates them should also help with the latest released patches and the patches still to come.

Wow! Fantastic work there. So these use the Batteground or Matrix versions as the base? I love what some people can do. I wish I had the time and talent.

Those are for the Hps or Jts games.

I'm not sure what Phillipe used as base for his mod, if something was taking from the old BG series or if it was made by himself or even by contributors I don't know, but I recommend to try them with the "JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler", that software will allow you to switch between mods or from a mod back to the stock version so you don't have to copy files back and forth.

There isn't in Bautzen all the battles.

This is at least 350 km in a straight line (some 400km by foot), between 1 May 1813 in Weissenfels, then Lutzen in Saxony and at the end Breslau, Silesia, now Wrocław, Lower Silesia, Poland, where Frenchies reached on 1 June 1813 French, finally left 11 June. :frenchvive1:

Were many battles, skirmishes, encounters, marches, camps, pursuits and withdrawals. :frenchcharge:

Don't forget, that war of 1813, ended in next year in France, Paris, after abdication of Napoleon, 6 April? :sly:

No, no, in Silesia, in Glogau fortress, now Głogów, Lower Silesia, Poland. The Frenchies and theirs coalition units surrendered until 17 April 1814! :frenchvive:

Cezary,

A designer isn't able to fit in every battle possible sadly. Wish they could, but they can't....they have to pick & choose what is popular for a title overall. Don't know what Bill Peters thoughts were when he designed it, but you could probably ask him if he didn't publish it in the designers notes.

But its easy to build your own scenarios, if you're willing to do the historical research. Its also a lot of fun.

I've never installed them but I have all(most?) of the cobexlaw mods with passwords if it would be considered desirable to make a repository for them. At least I did when this thread was active

Hiya Muddy!! Longtime for sure, nice to be back. I will indeed look you up once the sabre has been sharpened a bit. Got a bit rusty hanging over the mantle.

I am pretty sure that I read Bill write this somewhere (think it was Gamesquad -but might be wrong), he was talking about a lack of English language resources - so that probably is a big part of the issue.

As a scenario designer it can be difficult to get foreign language assistance, as well as access to source material in foreign languages -it is something that I have run into myself (same general topic -but different period.).

But I definitely do understand where you are coming from Cezary. :)

The lack of English sources alone isn't the problem but also that there might not have been anyone around to help with languages of the participating states.
Basically a research team who is able to speak German, Russian, Italian, French, Spanish as native language should have been involved to help going through all the sources in these languages.

I can confirm this so far as a little research brought a lot more insight into the Löwenberg scenario from Campaign Leipzig and that by a source that is in German.
And there I found much more detail and insight into the battle compared to all the English stuff I ever found about it, and that leads to the impression that the complete scenario has to be modified to depict what happened according to this much more detailed source.

The sources itself is very interesting as it is an article from a supplemental(Beiheft) to a military journal(Militair-Wochenblatt) that was published in the 1840's.
Now that is an example of a source that is hard to find(had the luck of someone post a link at the napoleon-series.org forum) and even if found it is hard to benefit from it as that article is in old German type art that is even for me as German hard to read.

If I can say, I know him, exactly I mean, that I worked at the request of Bill Peters about some maps of Leipzig. I was happy about this task. I made some, my corrections to maps Lowenberg, Goldberg, Katzbach and Bunzlau. These are the maps with the initials CP.

In my opinion Bautzen campaign is not finished to the end, but this is a subject for designers and publishers, future expectations of gamers of HPS / JTS, commercial profits and losses, etc.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! :frenchdrunk:
