On behalf of Congress, I am pleased to announce the following promotions:

Al Amos, 1812 Department, Commanding, to Colonel
Chris Hopper, 1812 Department, 21st US Infantry, to Captain
Jim Johnson, Northern Department, 2nd Continental Lt. Dragoons, to Corporal
Tony Malone, Eastern Department, Commanding, to Captain

Congratulations. Al and now Tony moving along at a good clip. London bookmakers have Al as a 5/2 favorite to be the next US General by the end of the year. Johnson's promotion came after his moving to the reserves, but will be his rank, should he be able to rejoin the Army in the future.

Again, nice work all.

Cheers!

While I toast my long time friends Tony and Al I am more interested in the promotions of those lower ranking officers! Congrats Chris and Jim. We need to see more guys like you from the lower ranks get those bars and bells. Good to see newer officers getting involved more in battles (and as you get promoted) and admin work and command (and so on and so forth, etc. etc.).
Al - what can I say - you are SUPERB BABY!
Tony - good going pard. Thanks for keeping a steady hand on the Eastern Dept.
Go Colonists Go!

Al, and may I add:
1. One disgruntled wife.
2. One to how many upset kids.
3. One pissed off dog.
4. A cat that goes on the keyboard cause you havent changed his/her catbox.

All to get to a rank that means you have to do alot of admin work!!! hehe
Then you have all of the above plus:
1. All opponents mad because you dont have time to return files like you used to!

"London bookmakers have Al as a 5/2 favorite to be the next US General by the end of the year."

That is not what's whispered about at Madam Worthington's by the wagering agents. But, word has it that Colonel Amos IS a shoe-in for Congressional Dogcatcher. Blimey! I'll lay 100 pounds sterling on that I say!
