Easy now boys. He's just a young'un.

Anyone know the answer(s)? I thought the secret service didn't exist until the civil war?

It's not a single incident, it's really a change in habits. In all clubs, a majority of the new members has begun to register for the boards with a fantasy name and not sign their posts even if you tell them thrice. Wonder what's going on ... is this a new generation of wargamers? [B)]

I agree that posts should be signed, but flaming someone's first post is not going to lead to more frequent posting on the board, signed or not.

While I agree people need to sign their posts, this was a bit much...I'd be surprised if we see Vetto again...signed or unsigned. [:(]

Blah. Hadn't thought about it, but "vetto" should have rung a bell. If it's who I think, he's not exactly new, holding the rank of Ensign! I *think* it's Ens. A.J. Vedders, whose email addy has vetto as part of it.

I tried to have a look at the rebel army roster, but as most days it would not load ... I say, could that not unimportant piece of information maybe be moved to some decent webspace? Just wondering. [|)]

This may be a good excuse to work up a small introductory letter for new members which includes some basic do's and don'ts that our excellent training department isn't really responsible for. Like how to set up a signature here, commonly acceptable challenge protocol, other small things that new members might feel lost or confused about. Nearly all of us probably take a lot of that little stuff for granted as established members. It's not fair to expect raw recruits to know how this club works without a bit of personal guidance, so I'll put together something that I and the Colonial CiC can perhaps send along with unit assignments which doesn't repeat CCC rules and everything else that recruits must endure from those mean old trainers. [;)] I'll clear it through the Cabinet first. If anyone has suggestions please email me.
