As many of you are interested in this period and some may even have been in a few re-enactments, I put forth this inquiry. I am currently trying to have a battle flag made from the period but I have had no luck going to comercial sites. If anyone has information or knows anyone who can make these, please let me know. As you know some flags of the period were quite artistic, particularily the foreign units. I am looking for a historical replica, not the nylon hang in the garden variety. Thanks

As for who I am, my name is Joe and I am curently in the USAF stationed in Florida. I am Irish in decent and enjoy military history and geneology. I have been a wargamer since my early teen years. I enjoy gaming anything up to the Napoleonic period. I began playing mainly WWII miniatures using Tractics rule set. I was then introduced to WRG 6th ed and other rule sets for wargaming ancients- medieval battles. A short time there after I became interested in the 7 Years War period playing Keonig Krieg and Age of Reason rule sets. Miniatures is where my main interest lies for wargaming, and I have several miniture armies 15 and 25mm. I have played computer games more recently as well. I own several Battleground games and a few others. I do not have a copy of 1776 or 1812 as yet, if someone could please link me to where I could buy them. That's me in a nutshell. [8D]

Joe - WRG 6th Edition! Wow that takes me back some! I was just getting into ancients when 7th Ed. came out and my group wanted to use those (boo hiss). It split the Ancients gaming groups in our area for sure. Still some speculate on whether 7th, with its different basing system, was better than 6th.
Anyway, we didnt play Ancients long in that group and here I had based all of my Trojans for that edition.
Did you ever play WRG's Musket and Pike set of rules? I had a Huegonot (sp) army and was working on the Swedes as well. A much better set of rules than 7th it seemed.

Received 1776 in the mail yesterday. I will be playing it a bit before I commit myself to slaughter here. :)

Consider joining. There is an excellent training program to help get new players up to speed. In addition, there are always newer players looking for a match.

Hope to see you in uniform.
