Does Anybody know if these games will run if Windows XP is installed?

My understanding is that all the HPS games, and all of the BG games (except Chickamauga) will work under XP with no difficulty. Chick can be made to work if you install a file the ACWGC has available.

Just going on word of mouth, Win98 here, and will be until I take this horse out to the back yard and shoot it.

Works with XP for me Sean. Also I installed a game which installed DirectX9 and have had no problems with HPS games.

Phil: I suspect the DX9 issue with these games is if you try to play them TCP/IP, that's where we ran into trouble with Jutland, that whole system got destroyed. A normal pbem game may well work just fine.

Sean,
I have XP Home Edition, but it came on my new computer, no problems whatsoever.

Just adding my two cents, I run XP Pro and I run all the HPS games without issue.

XP has been great. (I never got DX9 and have heard awful things about it concerning the aforementioned TCP/IP issues among others.)

ps If you need to run DOS games (SSI specifically) I had great luck with a program called VDMS. It was a silver bullet.

speaking of silver bullet... Go Raiders. Been a long time coming....[xx(][xx(][xx(]

I have both XP Pro and XP Home and the games run fine on both editions. Are you having problems or just thinking of installing the OS?

Yes, the Bucs won the Super Bowl. Of course any winner would be termed a Buc but the real Bucs won the Super Bowl.

I have XP and all games run fine. I have a trashing video card though that I need to replace. I get blacked out graphics in the GUI (Start button, etc). Also when I switch from some windows to other programs the background of the new window has portions of the previous window in place of the right graphic. For instance I switch to my email program and I end up with a HPS graphic in place of my email view.

Prior to the Broncos winning the bowl in the 90s what was the last AFC team to win the Super Bowl before Denver?
