So, His Majesty's Centre Column's challenge has gone unanswered by the Yankee rebels. Despite looking under every bush and in every rabbit hole, we have yet to find a man to match us. Perhaps the Yankee army has taken a trip down the Mississipi to the Gulf of Mexico? [:D]
A stunning and overwhelming moral victory for the Centre Column then! However, you boys in blue do not get off so easily. Oh no! We shall be reissuing a new challenge after the summer. To make it easier for the American army to find the battlefield, we shall be offering a single instead of a mirror match. (If anyone would like to make a suitably balanced scenario for this, please send your courrier to my tent)
So Mr. Doodle Dandy, you have a few short months to prepare. Time enough for you to get you uniforms patched and your muskets primed. The Centre Column looks forward with stiff upper lips to meeting you on the fields of glory in early Autumn. Huzzah!!

Hard to think that they <b><font color="yellow"><font size="6">COWER AND QUIVER IN FEAR,</b></font id="yellow"></font id="size6"> the <b><font color="red"><font size="5">WRATH </font id="size5"></font id="red"></b> of the Center Wing.

But, what to expect of some farmers that complain of a few pence tax levied by representatives of the <b><font color="limegreen">CROWN</font id="limegreen"></b>!

Well, as I said last time already, the valiant officers of the venerable Center Column - who dare defy them? [^]

To all you misguided followers of that FAT, GERMAN UPSTART, that dares calls himself the true King of Great Britain [}:)] He who with out regard of basic human rights [;)] Who has so abused my people from the old home countries. We have not forgotten Culloden, nor have we forgotten such fields as Boyne, Drogheda, and others were the English went beyond normal warfare. We now are loyal Americans to a new country, one which we will defend to the end against your unlawful taxation without representation, we will not take the abuse you have given our forefathers, brothers and others in our old countries. Our Pipes are a playing, our claymores are sharp and we are prepared to show you what it means to fight celts, unreconciled Jacobites, Americans! GOD BLESS AMERICA! Sir are you ready for a fight.

General Walter sir, As I have had a full plate, I was unable to give battle, as for the rest of my Colonial brothers in arms I am not sure, but I imagine they had a full agenda. If Mr. Henderson Is still up for a fight, My HQ awaits his courier to discuss terms as to when, where, and what optional rules we might decide on.

You keep looking for some finality to the rebellion and all I can say is that it will go on as long as it takes to rid ourselves of this monarchial yoke, whose authority is vested only by him calling himself King. You see, that is the difference between Americans and the English. The English will talk ad nauseum about something that is not yet done as if it were and how well they did it. Americans just get the job done, move on to the next task and don't talk about the old task.
The bottom line is that the Colonies are in revolt, they reject the King and all his wanton excesses. You may describe it as would make your King happy, but the fact remains that he has no dominion over these colonies.

Will you accept their next challenge . . . why should they even have to make an offer. The challenge should come from you and your friends![^]

Au contraire savage. I challenged Nelms and Tombesi in direct response to the centre column post. Nelms responded, Tombesi is not to be heard from, much like you and your Wyandot brothers response to the challenge to your nation by the Haudenouse. I am on the field presently against Henderson, have just completed a match against Natta and am about to play another. The fifth 'Horsemen" Hipkins, has just gone on leave after I was engaged against him at Brandywine. So you see, the challenge was well met I say, the difference again is how it is spewed like swill by the English. You should concern your self with matters of savagery, debauchery, and deceit, those things that the Wyandots know oh so well.

Cecil was engaged with several officers of the Crown and for that he does deserves <u>some</u> slack, (rope) but sir you probably should have contacted the Centre Column CO Neil Henderson about the challenge and not necessarily the individual members. That's the difference between you colonists and the English. We're organized. [:p]

Phil, there is something about your flag that makes me wonder ... I say, why does it say "<b><font color="yellow">no</font id="yellow"></b> quarter" when in fact it has <font color="yellow"><b>four</b></font id="yellow">? [:p]

For some odd reason, which I've never been able to find out and I've looked, there's a lot of mystery and unanswered questions about the 1st's regimental flag in the 18th century. Some sources say it was all red with no cross, some say it looked like the one I use here. If anyone has their own opinion I'd be interested in hearing it.

The "No Quarter" refers to what my tax collector says while the rebs open their skinny little coin pouches and dig around. [8]

Regiments with red or white facings carried a St George's Cross with the Union in the canton, and black facings were represented by a St George's Cross on a black field. Also in 1747, colonels were prohibited from putting personal devices on their colours."

So all we'd have to know is the facing color of the 1st Foot Guards. [:)]

Actually, come to think about it, the Guards being royal regiments their facings should have been blue, thus so should be the regimental color ... [?]
