By the order of His Most Christian Majesty, Lieutenant Philip Roubaud has been promoted to the rank of Capitaine, effective immediately this day of June 1, 1776. Congratulations Sir! May God be with you in your battles against the heathen enemy!

Thank you for your kind words monsieur le General. Of course 'heathen' is applied not only to those red skinned savages who serve your filthy armies but your non-believing Anglican selves who refuse to acknowledge the supremecy of his most Catholic Majesty...and his current mistress ;-)

Hm, I believe half of our Scottish troops and all of our Irish ones are probably Catholic so I hope you will spare them in battle ... though I don't know if they will spare you. [:D]

Congratulations, monshure. Nivir forget that a French officer's main duty is leading his men to safety in the rear! Now, be a swell chap and join us in song:

Um-Hum! Um-Hum!

Good point. After the French Army has grown with some new recruits we will have to work on wooing our Catholic brothers to the correct side. [;)]

You are too kind, Major. I believe that we each have a major victory in this current campaign and the game we are in now looks like it is going to end in a very bloody and exhausting draw.

Mr. Hipkins,

If I were were you I would be careful of questioning the manhood of a French officer while wearing one of those silly dresses that you Scottish fellows like to be seen in. One can only imagine what your women wear...
