Hello fellow gamers,

I already own several Civil War and Napoleonic Games by Talonsoft and HPS. I am looking to expand into the Colonial games, such as War of 1812, French and Indian War, and Campaign 1776. I was curious as to the turn lengths in these games(5 min,15 min, etc). Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

5 minutes. As a player I can stretch a 5 minute turn into a good three weeks...........

As with John Tiller's other excellent games, much is editable, and that incldes turn length. There is at least one 1776 modified game with re-edited time. Join up, I guarantee you will have fun.

The games will have a familar interface and game play is almost the same as the BG series. The games themselves are better than the BG series and have many changes such as automatic def fire and on-map results.

They are much slower paced than the Nappy games and the ACW games.

You will like either of the 3 games in the series. I would start with 1776, but you might want to start, chronologically, with the French and Indian Wars.

Or you can take advantage of the 5 for 3 deal and pick them all up! [:D] Let me know if you are interested.
