If a stray goose flies into the various Taverns:

Rhine Tavern: The goose will immediately be the subject of a long discussion as to first, if it should be allowed to deploy skirmishers, and second, what it's proper road movement rate is. After the goose has been torn apart into pieces, Eugene will reject the feathers as not being grand enough for his hat.

Mason-Dixon Tavern: The first thing everyone will want to know is if the goose was flying north or south, and there will then be a 100 post thread on if it's a "carpetbagger goose" or a "noble rebel goose".

Colonial Tavern: No one will pay attention, just figuring that Gen'l Cope has come back in for some liquid refreshment.

Saigon Country Club: The goose will be declared an Imperialist Huey, it will be claimed that it is worth way too many VP's and that the Commies shouldn't be allowed so many HMG's for shooting down geese.

Clash of Arms Tavern: It will be inquired whether the goose can be processed with the automated point menu system.

Dierk, touche! I'm not familiar enough with those two taverns to satirize them.

Gary there are those who feel I don't know enough to satirize any club.

Just hope the goose doesn't occur when Lisa is in the MD Tavern .

At least not when Parker is there, too ... Parker, the goose, and Lisa, now that's a showdown.

Hehehehhee, oh dear

I'll be honest, I'm rather curious how each of the taverns is gonna take this lil foray into low comedy on my part.. be interesting to watch the development of each thread.

Gary - dont worry - we will tell you when YOUR goose is cooked!
Dierk - Please leave Parker out of this. He is not here to defend himself, has agreed to lay off posting against Al by direct order of Gen. Martens in the ACW. Lets not spread the conflict to here.

Bill - I am not aware that I have attacked Parker in any way so that he would have to defend himself. And then I think - please correct me if I am wrong - that this is an open board and it is not up to you to judge what I should say here and what not.

Dierk - I wont waste time discussing this. You made a judgement of your own - that Parker's name could be used here. Most folks dont even have a clue who he is and what your post is all about. Obviously you are having fun at someone else's expense.
I will leave the issue with HQ. I dont think we should drag into our discussions people that have nothing to do with our club. There is a limit to what can be posted here. You cant just post what you like.
If HQ doesnt think there is an issue I can live with it but if they think you should control your urge to bring in a member from another club then I wonder if you can obey their request?

I think I have never given the club authorities reason to doubt my willingness to follow rules or obey their orders so please spare me your insinuations. If the club authorities would have thought there was anything wrong with my post, they would have let me know, and then it would have been fine with me. You are not a club authority, so I would appreciate it if you would refrain from issuing orders.

Just out of curiosity, why don't you reprimand Gary for mentioning Eugene or Al for mentioning Lisa (both no club members either)?

Gentlemen, please, I had created this thread for some (hopefully) gentle tweaking at the idiosyncries of each club.

OK. With cooler mind now, probably it was really no good manners to mention Parker's name. Had Bill said something like "Dierk - don't you think this was not such a good idea" I would probably have said - yes. But I still resent his giving me orders as if he was the club president or the Pope in Rome or god knows what.

Dierk - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reread my post. It is NOT an order. I used the word PLEASE! Nowhere in my post do I give any orders. I dont have any authority here and dont intend on campaigning for such. Quote: "Dierk - Please leave Parker out of this." NOT "Dierk, I order you to leave Parker out of this."
