Heh, I'm sure I'm gonna butcher this.. and the spelling/diction was bizarre already. It was from our German textboook way back when (and they had a few different dialects they introduced us too, also including Swiss and Austrian dialects"
Werr kann man ein Radi guat schneiden ko, kann man auwe gut tanzen As I said, it's been a few years, so I'm sure the spelling is a bit off, and it was bizarre already (which is why it's stuck with me)

You know, the strange thing about German dialects is that always the other guys think they have a pretty good idea of how a certain dialect should sound, and they usually know but one phrase and that one phrase is almost never really used by the people speaking the dialect. No idea where that tradition comes from.

"I don't know about the quality of your artists over there, have you looked at Natty Phil's portrait closely?"

I say guvnah, that sitting cost me 2000 quid! And at least it's painted on proper canvas, and not on a large sheet of tree bark as I've had the displeasure to see some Yankee portraits.

Of course, 1900 of that was acutally what the Natty one owed the artist for the damage his wig did to the celing of the studio!

Ahh, but all 2000 quid came out of Yankee pockets in the form of our overly lenient taxes. And that artist's ceiling needed a good scrubbing anyway!

Bravo to the winners of the awards and thanks to Dierk and anyone else for maitaining this site!
I noted that there were no White Plains winners. Would any British player care to play that one with me? Lets see if we cant get some of these other scenarios on the limey-light!
