Sir, would you be so kind to let the uninformed public know which of the disorganized armed mobs (commonly but not very aptly called "regiments") the pathetic Rebel force is composed of was so desperately short of runaway farmhands and common highwaymen that it was forced to accept you into its ranks?

Colonel Walter,
I fear it is not so easy for him to find out who is fighting under his command and who is only a civilian. Much easier in our army.

Hm, that didn't help ... seems I have to revise my wording.

Sir Rebel, have you already joined a regiment, or are you only sniping at British officers from behind a tree on your own responsibility? (Not that it would make much much of a difference in the end; we will find a convenient tree anyway. )

I feel I MUST translate Col Walter's messages. What he ACTUALLY means is it is customary to post your regimental affiliation, in your messages.

ALSO, he is saying YOU JOINED A rabble MOB, who hide, slither and are otherwise unsavory characters and you SHOULD have joined the ELITE, well disiplined, well uniformed, well led, well lettered and generally all around great guys in the British Army.
And, welcome aboard, anyway!

Mr. Lau has recently joined the club. I understand he has requested training, and will recieve his regimental posting on mustering out of Fort Davis.

Jeffery will learn how to target officers first, then NCO's, then the drummers & musicians, before wasting ammo on the dregs of society that you enlist as thugs in red coats.

Welcome Jeff - finish your training and then post your regimental affiliation when you get done. This is done via your board user profile. Look for the Profile link above the thread under "Colonial Campaign Club" and you will be able to add a dashing title like Dierk has!

I'm shocked Colonel. Only barbarians firing at drummers.

Even more so since they are minors. Then again of course the entire Rebel army is, so what do you expect.

2. scream
3. run

fairly easy

Minors, schminors. They may be anke-biters now, but better to nip them in the bud before they learn how to point a gun in the general direction of a fighting man (rather than aim).

Besides, shooting the musicians is more of a betting sport.
