Who is in charge of the clerks who keep our US command pages current? Arouse from yer lethargy--despise fawning smiles or snarling frowns--with energy excercise yer functions--the campaign must rapidly progress or your country ruined. Call out the full quota--execute the orders of the Sec of War, arrest the officer who omits his duty....

(borrowing freely from Gov. Blount in Dec 1813)

Steve
Pvt, commanding the 36th US Inf

Sorry, Colonel Amos, I thought it was one of Sec Armstrong's quill-sharpeners what was off with the ladies of Washington City.

I've never done organizations and what, but I'd be happy to try and assist.

Colonel Amos,

What is in the wind about re-organization? Are they making new departments again? Will they replace Genl Wilkinson-the-Spanish-spy with you?

Oh <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle> Whew! and here I thought there was a nefarious plan afoot to take away my Northern Department... *innocently looks at the clouds, whistling, shovel in hand.. behind him is a hole, half filled back in, and a box in the hole, from said box, you hear the muffled sounds of what sounds like the voices of Messers O'Conner, Cox, Nix, Urban, Barker and company...*

If we reorg the 1812 Dept does that mean that my grandfather wasnt born and therefore I dont exist? Something like that ....
I want to know when we will have a navy! Ah, would love to sail again in one of the computer naval games of the period.

Easy Gentlemen, I should take some of the blame as Al is indeed correct there may be some re-organisation of the 1812 US army. This has yet to be fully decided, but please continue to update your dept web-pages as before - I will let you know in due course how matters stand.

Many thanks for your patience.
