Gentlemen!
Patriots all!

A Crisis has dawned upon us! The mad King George has decided that no measures are too extreme to extguish even the least flicker of freedom! He has gone beyond the bounds of humanity!

What terrible thing has he done? He has given the command of his murderous forces to that bloody wigged monster General Phil Natta!

Not only our freedom is at stake, but any hope of our own survival! Now we must stand together, we must not fail, we must not falter! If we do not pool our strength, if we do not expend every effort, if we do not shed our blood to the last drop, we will fall. We will be turned out of our houses, and the dogs of the englishmen will kennel in our homes!

I say to thee, will we let this happen! Stand and fight men! The hour of desparation has come! Who is with me!!!

HUZZZAH!

Major Gary McClellan
12th Virgina Light Dragoons
CO Northern Department

Yes the sound of leopard skin jackboots is enough to strike fear into even the most calm and resolved of our men.

I think the American Armies are ready for the test. The Grand Army has recently been bolstered with several new recruits of excellent skills.

It may well be a long winter in Halifax for Bloody Phil.

..."if we do not shed our blood to the last drop..."

Of this you can be assured Major. [xx(]

But my my, what panics you so man? Is it indeed the leopard skin boots, the sumptuous wig, the Turkish face powder, the French faux moles, the Egyptian gold braiding and buttons, the ornate Italian rapier, the fine beaver skin haberdashery, the rare Chinese silk breeches, the row upon row of ribbons and medals, the train of personal baggage wagons, the POODLE perhaps, hmm? [:o)]

If I may suggest to you sir, sit down and mop your glistening brow, have a piping hot cup of Earl Gray tea, you know...the tea that only costs you provincials the miserly sum of 10 quid per ounce, and reflect on His Majesty's kindness and generosity toward you naughty children. [V] He only desires and envisions you coming back into the fold of your English ancestors. And he has set in motion his instrument of destruction to see that it happens....for your own good of course! [:I]

You would be wise to fear the courage and skill of my compatriots Sir, but you needen't fear me, as I now have satchel upon satchel of dispatches to process. [8] Bartholemew, fetch my quill and ink font if you will please.

Brig. General Sir Phil Natta, ESQ KCB Lord High Mucky Muck, Commander of the forces of his most insane and treacherous majesty,

What do I fear? Sir, I tell you, I have learned to deal with the fear of the wig falling upon me. Likewise, the lepoard skin boots are to me nothing more than a bit of tacky fashion, the faux moles are a mere distraction.

Indeed, the more I think of it, the less that there is to fear about you, though one is afraid to light a flame in the presence of your perfume. However, as far as you may be past your prime, you are still a cause for fear because of that child of Cerebus that accomponies you upon all your fields. I do not know what deal you had to make with the infernal one to gain such a creature, but I'm sure you will regret the cost some day.

And just to get that clear, from now on insulting Sir Phil means insulting the entire British army, nay, nation, and will be severely punished. [:o]

COL Walter, while I salute GEN. Natta (not the wig or dog [;)] ) I think the English having that fat wannabe German King as thier leader is insult enough [}:)] There is still hope that my fellow celts across the water will bring back the true King, or better yet join us in our fight for freedom from the rule of a tyrant. God Bless America! Erin Go Bragh [8D]

Some day I want to find out what, in this recurrent theme of yours, constitutes the insult. Is it a stain on someone's honor to be fat? Oh Winfield Scott, what fate awaits you in this intolerant society! Or is it dishonorable to be German? General Steuben is turning around in his grave, and all of Pennsylvania and the old Northwest rise against such Irish arrogance! If at least you would revolt against his being King, but all you intend to do is replace him with a different King who has the additional disadvantage of being papist. Oh what has become of the gift of logic and of the art of thought ... they have been lost in the confused minds of the illoyal subjects of the crown! [B)]

I meant no dishonor on those that are fat, or all those that are German. But since my kin was forced to flee due to the uspur of this Hanorvorian upstart, who let his govermant wage a terror campaign against my kin in Erin and Alba, I have no choice but to continue my assault on those that could support such as he [;)] , My people were once loyal Jacobites, but now we are loyal Americans and will incourgae all those to join the fight for freedom and liberity [8D] We may have taken some hard knocks at the hands of COL. Walter and GEN. Natta [B)] We are still able to swing the steel of a claymore indefense of our new home. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Tony - the true king would be?
a. Bonny Prince Charles?
b. Mary Queen of Scots?
c. Harold of Stamford Bridge fame?
d. unknown Irish King (my personal choice)

Bring back a real king for the people and we might consider stopping the War of Independence.

Better yet - ask Gen. Natta to recongnize Gen. Washington as our head tax collector! [;)]

Well since we can not get a Brian Boru, or an Edward Bruce, and since Bonnie Prince Charlie is the true ligitiment hier to the British thrown I guess we could settle for a true Stuart king. Since this is unlikely [:(] I will support my fellow Americans in their fight for Freedom against an evil[}:)] tyrant who happens to be madd, God Bless America!
