Gentlemen,

It is both an honour and a pleasure to announce the promotion of the following Anglo-Allied officers, in recognition of their service to the Army and for the competence they have demonstrated in leading men into battle:

First of all, congratulations to 1e Luitenant Lucas Kling, Regiment Karabiniers No. 1, to Lieutenant Eugene Renna, 12th Regiment of Dragoons, and to Maj. Gen. D.S. "Green Horse" Walter, 16th (The Queen's) Light Dragoons.

Secondly, my many thanks to Brigadier General Antony Barlow, 2nd British (Union) Brigade for assuming the duties of adjunct. Unfortunately his predecessor went AWOL and it was some time before his absence was noticed.[:(] Those officers who were excluded their rightful due should contact Brigadier General Antony Barlow and he will be happy to issue them the proper recognitions.

Thirdly (Is that a word?), I will proudly point out that two of these three fine officers serve in my command, the vaunted Anglo-Allied Cavalry Corps, and that said command has several vacancies open to able bodied officers who can pass our stringent entrance requirements (Breathing and Occasionally Sober).[:D]

Fourthly (Surely this is not a word?), I will have my usual Helga and charge it to the newly promoted officers tab.[8D]

Thank you gentlemen, and congratulations to my 2 fine comrades also.
I wish to point out that although I have nary a victory to my name (I'm somewhat better at EAW and ACW [:D]) I am currently breathing and - on occasion - sober [;)]

Bill,

As the webmaster & records keeper for the Anglo-Allied Cavalry might I induce you consider joining my command? BTW, Antony Barlow is in my command as well. So I can assure that the Anglo-Allied record keeping is of the highest standards.[8D]

For such a distinguished and senior officer we will relax the entrance requirements for the Anglo-Allied Cavalry Corps. You may be either breathing OR sober! [;)]

Jon - hey thanks a bunch. Actually the French army has never missed promoting me. It was in other clubs many moons ago.

And Tony Barlow is a fearsome admin guy. Wouldnt want to soil the Anglo-Allies with my losses! [:p]

I love the French blue. Miss the first blue background that John Corbin picked. This new one reminds me of the Prussians too much! [:D]
